Job Description
The Dental Office and Claims Coordinator is responsible for supervising and assisting in day-to-day administrative duties for the dental clinic including but not limited to scheduling, patient statements, accounts receivable, billing, coding, records keeping, accounts, credentialing and human resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and carry out all administrative functions associated with Dental Clinic staff and patients. Including insurance claims and payment allocations.
- Develop and maintain methods to control and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the work services provided. Recommend and advise the Dentist and Sr. Hospital Administrator on problems related to collaborative service efforts and provide appropriate plan for resolution.
- Participates in departmental planning for budgetary requirements and accountability.
- Collaborate with hospital administration and Dentist to develop policies and administrative procedures for clinic.
- Represent Dental Clinic and staff at Department Head meetings.
- Monitors patient flow maintains contact with clinical staff regarding miscommunication in all aspects of providing dental care.
- Collaborate patient scheduling plans with dental staff; coordinate and schedule patients for treatment.
- Perform/oversee variety of receptionist and clerical duties related to treatment of patients; receives patients.
- Responsible for dental patient records; maintains files, audits files for treatment plan and appropriate charging.
- Coordinates materials and supply inventory; assists staff in tracking purchases.
- Partner with Dentists and Hospital administration to conduct regular staff meetings.
- Interface with clinic staff, and IT technical support for regular software upgrades and trouble shooting.
- Prepare financial figures for weekly and monthly report as required.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly activity and budget statistics.
- Submit and monitor work orders for any physical and technology related issues.
- Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Recent dental practice experience with demonstrated ability to manage routine dental care issues.
- Two (2) years of experience in insurance claim submission and payment receipt. Practical knowledge of dental services, basic rules and regulations.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Education Required:
AAS or higher from an accredited college or university
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write & speak English to effectively communicate
- This position is unaccompanied.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- US DOD CNACI or the ability to obtain one is required.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
