Powercon Corp is a leading switchgear manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality electrical solutions. We are seeking a talented Mechanical/Electrical Draftsman to prepare technical drawings of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. During the drawing process, this position would analyze information provided by engineers, and apply their design and engineering knowledge to illustrate visual instructions that relate to technical specifications and industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and other CAD software
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to produce accurate design plans
- Assist in the development of mechanical designs and civil engineering projects
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
- Ability to build accurate models and drawings based on project specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
SKILLS:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in an electrical drafting position is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation software as related to electrical drafting
- Manufacturing experience in electrical apparatus is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exercises a high level of professionalism and a positive demeanor
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
