We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to oversee the technical support of the applications, hardware and peripheral equipment. This includes but is not limited to installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing and upgrading corporate hardware and applications while ensuring optimal performance. This position will be full-time and onsite.
What You’ll Do
- Receives and processes end user computer problems and errors.
- Recognize and resolve application and connectivity trends and issues.
- Apply working technical knowledge of current systems software, operating systems, and PC protocols and standards
- Hands-on device support such as Lenovo workstations, Laptops, docking stations and peripheral equipment.
- Installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing and upgrading corporate hardware and applications.
- Gain knowledge on Business Line applications and to provide application support.
- Gain knowledge of and support telephony devices which include Cisco phones and mobile devices.
- Work with external vendors and contacts to resolve issues.
- Gain understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Assist with downed services and help to resolve, manage and escalate
What You’ll Need
Required:
- Minimum 3+ years of Desktop Support experience with installation, configuration, repair, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and software distribution, Active Directory, and MS O365 including MS Teams.
- ServiceNow ticketing system experience
- iOS device troubleshooting
- Audio/Visual Troubleshooting
- IP Print troubleshooting
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with external vendors and contacts to resolve issues.
- Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated and directed.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a busy environment.
- Ability to collaborate remotely with technology teams.
Preferred:
- Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (Preferred) or equivalent experience
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
