Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our organization's fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills and a passion for our mission, contributing to the growth and sustainability of our programs.
Duties
- Manage volunteer programs, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers.
- Assist in estate planning initiatives, providing support for donors interested in wills, trusts, and estate law.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community partners to enhance engagement and support.
- Oversee social media management to promote events and fundraising campaigns, utilizing platforms effectively to reach target audiences.
- Utilize Constant Contact for email marketing campaigns, ensuring timely communication with supporters.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, coordinating logistics, promotions, and follow-up activities to maximize participation.
- Conduct research on potential funding sources and grant opportunities to support organizational goals.
- Negotiate with vendors and partners to secure favorable terms for events and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in volunteer management or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of estate planning concepts including wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in social media management with a track record of successful campaigns.
- Proficiency in using Constant Contact or similar email marketing tools.
- Excellent event planning skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data and identify potential funding opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with various parties.
