Job Summary:
Early Stages is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Developmental Preschool Director. Early Stages Preschool is an inclusive and developmentally focused education setting for children ages 18 months to 5 years. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for working with children with and without developmental delays.
This role requires an active Director’s Permit or Site Supervisor Permit, as well as experience in program management, leadership, and working with developmentally delayed children. The Preschool Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our center-based preschool program, ensuring a high-quality learning environment for all children, and leading a team of dedicated educators and staff. The Preschool Director will also be responsible for compliance with all licensing regulations, creating and implementing educational plans, and maintaining strong communication with families and external agencies.
An essential responsibility of the Preschool Director will be to actively contribute to the growth and enrollment of the center. This includes establishing and nurturing relationships within the community, promoting the preschool program, and ensuring a steady influx of new students. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively network and build strong partnerships with local organizations, schools, and families to expand the reach and reputation of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the center-based preschool, including scheduling, curriculum planning, and staff management.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and Early Start program guidelines.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans for children, including those with developmental delays.
- Conduct regular assessments of children’s progress and make necessary adjustments to their educational plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, providing regular updates and support for their child's development.
- Collaborate with external agencies and service providers to ensure a holistic approach to children's development.
- Manage administrative tasks related to the preschool program, including record-keeping, reports, and budgets.
- Stay informed about current best practices in early childhood education, particularly for children with developmental delays.
Qualifications:
- Active Director's Permit or Site Supervisor Permit is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with developmental delays.
– Experience coordinating with Regional Centers and knowledge of the Early Start System.
- Previous experience in a leadership or program management role in an early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
- $27 per hour
