Job Description:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with AWS cloud environments
- Knowledge of security best practices for database operations
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Code Pipeline)
- Background in working with enterprise or mission-critical systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain MySQL RDS / Amazon Aurora database environments
- Perform database migrations, backups, and disaster recovery planning
- Implement best practices for performance tuning and query optimization
- Monitor database health, manage incidents, and ensure high availability
- Automate database provisioning and deployments using Terraform
- Use Git for version control and infrastructure-as-code management
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate database operations with CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and staging environments
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience with MySQL RDS and/or Amazon Aurora (MySQL-compatible)
- Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and performance diagnostics
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
- Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative workflows
- Experience in automating database deployments within DevOps pipelines
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) for database observability
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with production incident response
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $107,070.00 - $113,455.00 per year
