Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, along with experience in working with various types of heavy equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is capable of diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues while providing exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Conduct repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.
- Maintain and repair transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Provide tire service, brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts maintenance, and assembly work.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and recommendations.
Skills
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and automotive repair techniques.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical systems in vehicles and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics for troubleshooting.
- Customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
