Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and Skilled Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional meal services within our dietary department. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and meal preparation, particularly in a skilled nursing facility environment. This role requires strong time management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and customer service. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and delicious meals tailored to their dietary needs.

Responsibilities
- Assist the cook with preparation of the meals.
- Prepare dining room for resident centered dining, and set-up trays for meals
- Serve food at meal time in the dining room and to residents in their rooms.
- Respond to residents’ requests at meal time, and serve as requested.
- Bus and clean tables in the dining room and collect trays and dishes after completion of meal service.
- Wash pots, pans, utensils, dishes etc. after meals.
- Assist in other general clean-up and sanitation tasks in the kitchen.
- Empty trash and clean trash cans.
- Sweep and mop dining room and kitchen floor.
- Assist in the stocking shelves and organizing kitchen.
- Set-up resident’s snack trays and deliver to resident units.
- Perform in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Perform other duties assigned by the Cook or Dietary Supervisory to ensure the effective daily operation of the kitchen and meal service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an aide in food production, preferably within an skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is essential.
