Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Digger to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various heavy machinery on construction sites. The Digger will play a crucial role in the excavation and preparation of sites for building projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders to perform excavation tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute site preparation activities.
- Safely transport materials using water trucks and tankers as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in building foundations and other structures as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment used.
Experience
- Proven experience in operating heavy machinery, particularly bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
- Previous work experience on construction sites is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
