Job Summary:
The Digital Marketing Associate plays a key role in driving the company’s digital presence and brand visibility through a wide range of marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for creating and distributing engaging content across multiple channels, including newsletters, social media, blogs, and external publications. The role supports website maintenance and optimization, ensuring content is current, SEO-friendly, and aligned with campaigns and branding guidelines. In addition, the Digital Marketing Associate manages social media scheduling, online store listings, internal communications, and educational content while assisting in campaign planning, performance reporting, and lead tracking.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Creates, manages, and distributes digital content to support marketing campaigns and enhance brand visibility. Duties include developing newsletters, blogs, and social media posts; maintaining website content and online store listings; optimizing for SEO; and assisting with email marketing and advertising initiatives. Tracks campaign performance, manages databases, and prepares reports to measure effectiveness. Supports internal communications, designs basic marketing materials, and collaborates with sales and product teams to align efforts with business goals. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in digital marketing or a related role with demonstrated success in executing comprehensive marketing plans
- Strong skills in digital marketing, social media management, and SEO.
- Proficiency in basic graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, etc.).
- Experience with marketing automation/email platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar) preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Description:
- Monthly Newsletter: Create, design, and distribute engaging monthly newsletters based on a proven format.
- Social Media Management: Plan and schedule daily/weekly social media posts across platforms to enhance brand presence and engagement. Create and schedule social/LinkedIn posts to amplify content. Utilize scheduling tools to manage and automate social media postings. Familiarity with Online Scheduling Platforms.
- SEO Optimization: Implement and monitor SEO strategies to improve website ranking and visibility.
- Website Edits: Maintain and update website content to ensure it aligns with marketing campaigns and current trends.
- Basic Design Tasks: Assist with designing marketing materials, presentations, and promotional content.
- Content Creation: Develop content for marketing campaigns, blogs, newsletters, and other promotional materials. Repurpose blog content for social and other micro formats. Create content for external publications.
- Article Writing and Coordination: Write and coordinate the creation of articles related to newsworthy topics relevant to the industry.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, target audiences, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
- Internal TV Displays: Update internal TV displays for office communications.
- Email Signatures: Manage email signature and monitor engagement metrics to ensure effectiveness.
- Lead Generation: Tracking of Leads Generated by BD
- Website Maintenance: Sitemap Management: Maintain and edit the website sitemap to support indexing and crawlability.
- Campaign Management: Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, including email marketing and advertising initiatives.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics tools to measure ROI and make data-driven improvements.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all digital marketing materials and communications are aligned with the company’s branding guidelines.
- Customer Feedback: Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform future marketing strategies. Implement feedback quickly and iterate on content based on performance. Respond to comments made online and in social media on behalf of Marketing.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the sales and product teams to align marketing efforts with business goals and product launches.
- CRM and Database Management: Maintain and update customer and prospect databases for targeted outreach and nurturing.
- Internal Communications: Support internal marketing efforts to keep employees informed and engaged with company updates and initiatives.
- Website Content: Update and maintain website content (copy, minor layout/fixes).
- Blog Management: Write, edit, and format blog articles. Coordinate with outside parties to publish a full-blown article where required (Logan)
- New Web Pages: Plan, write, design, and publish new web pages for products, services, or campaigns.
- Performance Reporting: Assist with simple performance reporting (traffic, engagement metrics) and provide metrics and score cards
- Online Store Management: Manage online store on Google Merchant Center and Ecwid for products daily/weekly. Dell Inventory Listings: Publish and update designated Dell inventory listings on the Makios website each morning, ensuring accurate details and links are available for client distribution.
- Educational Content: Create educational content for clients (tutorial for Teams, Makios Cloud Fax, and Makios Newsletters).
- Presentations: Create digital presentations for internal and external initiatives (Teambuilder and Clients).
Job Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, with clear and effective writing skills in both languages.
- Strong command of written and verbal English, including spelling, grammar, proofreading, and editing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and face-to-face, with the ability to translate ideas into clear content and campaigns.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights and make strategic recommendations from marketing data.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and technically savvy with CMS platforms.
- Experience with design and creative tools, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; basic knowledge of HTML preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Tag Manager.
- Experience with survey platforms (e.g., SurveyMonkey) a plus.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, scheduling tools, and digital communication technologies.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content (blogs, newsletters, articles, social posts, videos, presentations).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, structured, and able to maintain clean, organized project workflows.
- Capable of coordinating with outside vendors, managing orders, and maintaining positive relationships.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with limited supervision while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or a related field with multiple concurrent projects.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The role may occasionally require lifting, pushing, or pulling 10–20 lbs. This is a full-time, in-person position based on a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime required to meet business needs.
