Multi-Axis Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Dimensional Inspector to accurately evaluate and document receiving, in-process and final inspection of highly intricate prototypes and low volume production runs. Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in an R&D environment
- 5+ years of experience in machining and fabrication; preferably in an R&D environment
- Experience in PC-DMIS and CAMIO software, utilizing both solid models and touch point programming to perform inspection activities.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
- Fluent in use of precision inspection equipment within a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a team environment
- Experience machining a wide variety of aerospace alloys including nickel-based super-alloys
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 reports
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection of machine components using all common precision inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges and thread gauges, optical comparator
- Create programs for CMMs to ensure customer requirements are met
- Inspect and record first part and final inspection data to ensure customer requirements are met
- Work closely with machinists to ensure parts are made to print
- Conduct product acceptance within the company
- Prepare non-conforming tags as required
- Work with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
- Use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges and standard measuring equipment
- Manage tool calibration database
- Assist in AS9100 documentation or processes
