job title: Direct support Aide
We're seeking an active, engaging female community companion and caregiver for a fabulous happy fun young woman with physical, speech and language disabilities. No medical needs, special needs experience a plus but not necessary. Will be trained. We are looking for someone that would like to stay in role for a longer term if possible.
The shift is Monday thru Friday, 9AM to 3 pm – steady hours.
THE JOB
You'll work at the client's home, and out in the community. You will be working independently but provided assistance and training. You will help client with online classes, in person classes, arrange outings, sports, movies, get-togethers and adventures! This work involves helping the client with feeding, helping with toileting and changing, engaging with her, reading and motivating her to continue to grow independence skills. Compassionate personal care is a must!

SKILLS WE NEED

Confident reader of English-language books, engaging and loves to speak with client
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Provide assistance with personal care (client is a small person, not large/heavy) and helps with transition
Help client transition from sit to stand, in and out of wheelchair.
