Job Title: Direct Support Worker – Individualized Home Supports (IHS) and Homemaking

Pay Rate: $20.00 hr. - 2200 hr. DOE
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Individualized Home Supports (IHS) and Homemaking services to individuals with disabilities in their home and community. This role involves assisting clients in achieving greater independence, building life skills, and maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive living environment.

- Assist individuals with community integration activities, including:
- Transportation
- Shopping
- Recreational outings
- Attending appointments
- Teach and reinforce independent living skills, such as:
- Budgeting and money management
- Scheduling and time management
- Problem-solving
- Developing and maintaining social skills
- Provide support with daily living tasks, including:
- Meal preparation and management
- Home maintenance
- Household organization and management
- Document services provided, progress toward individual goals, and any incidents or concerns in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional boundaries while upholding the rights, privacy, and dignity of each individual served.
- Collaborate with team members, family members, and guardians to ensure consistent, high-quality support and care.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support the individual’s well-being and independence.
Qualifications:
- Experience in direct care, disability services, or related human services preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass a background check and required training.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Training:
- All hired DSP's will be provided training that is available online.
Schedule:
You will work 4 times a week
This position is for 22 hours per week.
