Job description
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable and motivated Female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Home and Community -Based services to an individual living in Port Jervis NY. The DSP will assist the client in developing independent living skills , participating in community activities and achieving personal goals
Skills and Responsibilities:
· Provide direct care and supervision to children in home or after- school environments.
. Provides relief from care-giving responsibilities for the family.
· Assist children with daily routines, behavioral support, and social-emotional development.
· Offer tutoring, homework help, and mentoring.
· Promote a safe, nurturing and supportive environment.
· Assist with the transportation appointments and recreational activities
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of service provided
Qualifications:
. Preferably Female
· Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children.
· High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
. Valid Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
. Lives in Orange county or nearby
.Available to work day time and/or after-school hours (flexible scheduling)
.Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
. Must be dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
