UCG is seeking an experienced Direct Service Professional (DSP) to care for ladies living in a group home setting that are in need of total care. The clients in the home attend adult day services 5 days a week, from roughly 7:30am - 2:30pm. There are 2 DSP's scheduled every shift, so you will never be alone, unless there is only 1 client. This position is for 2nd and 3rd shift with every other weekend (8p-8a/8a-8p). This employee needs to have open availability and willingness to pick up extra shifts or hours. (1st shift 8am-2pm, 2nd shift 2pm-10pm, 3rd shift is 10pm-9am). You will work between 24-36 hours normally. You can pick up additional shifts as needed.
Driver's License with less than 6 points on the driving record is required
Medication Administration - Level 1 is a PLUS.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing daily care for individuals with complex medical needs in home health setting.
- Providing support to the individuals served including healthcare, nutrition and program implementing.
- Assisting Individuals with daily living skills and the development of independent community skills.
- Assisting the Home Manager in maintaining consistency in the provisions of supports and services.
- Accurately completing all on-site documentation; maintain current case notes and reports of Individuals progress and how it relates to their ISP.
- Coordinating and providing transportation for community outings for the individuals served.
- Ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of client homes.
Requirements for this position include:
- At least 1 year experience in DODD field
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR/First Aid (will train/certify)
- DODD provider training (willing to train/certify)
- Must be able to pass a BCI Background Check
