You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an engaging 1:1 support to work with a young adult male with a developmental disability. In this critical role, you will teach skills to increase socialization in the community, encourage some light exercise (going for walks) and encouraging to explore different hobbies and interests (assist with volunteering at humane society).
Experience is a must. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with education/experience in the field of special education and/or behavioral support services.
Shift: Monday, Wednesday, and some weekend hours (daytime hours)
Pay rate: $24/hr. Additionally, $.67 per mile for transportation reimbursement.
Location: Utica, NY
Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
