Direct Support Professional DSP or Caregiver for the following shifts:
Monday 9am to 9pm
Tuesday 9am to 9pm
Sunday 8am to 8pm

Choices Unlimited, Inc. is a company with one group home located in Milwaukie, OR in a lovely neighborhood with quick access to 205 Fwy. We provide direct care and are supporting and empowering adults with developmental disabilities to live richer lives. We are looking for a direct support professional, caregiver, or CNA to assist our individuals who have some medical and behavioral challenges and IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities).
If you are a compassionate, reliable, team player, self-motivated, enthusiastic caregiver or direct support professional (DSP) to assist with activities of daily living we need you. We provide comprehensive training on how to provide direct, hands on care, pass medications, perform some nursing delegated tasks, take individuals on outings etc.
Experience / Qualifications.
You will be working as a DSP/Caregiver with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing care in a residential setting for a maximum of 5 residents.
**at least 18 years of age
*previous caregiving or DSP experience is helpful, but not required to work. We provide intensive training that begins as soon as you start and continues throughout employment. CNA certification not required.
*ability to pass a criminal background check through the DHS BCU
Job requirements
*have or be willing to get CPR/First Aid certification
*have good English speaking, writing and reading skills.
*assist clients with activities of daily living such as:
-grooming,
-transferring,
-showering,
-dressing,
-feeding,
-tube feedings,
-medication administration,
-cooking and laundry,
-take vital signs and be able to call 911 in an emergency
- some behavior management (reassuring, redirecting etc)
*lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
*reliable transportation (Public transportation to our location is extremely limited)
We train you how to use a tube feeding, transfers using a Hoyer lift and other necessary tasks
