Director, Brand and Site Marketing - REMOTE POSITION

The Director of Brand and Site Marketing is a strategic and hands-on role that will lead the development and execution of our global brand strategy and digital presence. RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Marketing Leadership
- Own the development and stewardship of global brand standards, visual identity, and messaging architecture.
- Lead the creative execution of integrated brand campaigns that span paid, owned, and earned media channels.
- Guide and approve all major brand creative, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and global brand consistency.
- Collaborate with regional and product marketing leads, as well as communications peers, to ensure brand consistency across international markets.
- Measure brand performance using KPIs, brand health tracking, and campaign impact reporting to continuously optimize strategy.
- Manage brand licensing and governance by overseeing brand usage, approvals, and the development of a brand portal for regional teams and partners.
- Oversee external creative agencies, designers, and consultants—ensuring quality, timeline adherence, and budget control.
Website Strategy & Optimization
- Own GBTA website experience: design, content structure, user journey, and performance optimization.
- Drive website personalization, dynamic content, and member/sponsor engagement strategies.
- Partner with product, events, communications, and membership teams to align site content with business priorities.
- Lead ongoing UX/UI enhancements based on user feedback, analytics, and evolving business needs.
- Develop strategies to optimize revenue opportunities on the site (e.g., digital advertising, lead generation, sponsorship assets).
- Oversee site marketing areas including SEO and content strategy, conversion rate optimization (CRO), accessibility/compliance, integration with MarTech tools, and global localization workflows.
- Manage website agency partners and creative developers to implement enhancements and keep all projects on track and within budget.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with country managers, regional marketers, and product owners to tailor brand and web strategies to regional and product-specific goals.
- Partner with analytics, lifecycle marketing, and lead gen teams to ensure cohesive marketing execution and performance tracking.
- Oversee timelines, scoping, and creative development for major cross-channel campaigns and initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing and digital strategy roles.
- Proven success leading global brand campaigns from concept through execution.
- Strong creative sensibility and ability to manage brand identity across a complex organization.
- Experience managing digital platforms, especially CMS-based websites with dynamic content and personalization features.
- Experience managing agencies, creative budgets, and cross-functional marketing teams.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on project management capabilities and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, (oral and written) communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to manage and track deadlines and action items, and professionally secure answers from internal and external staff on deadline items.
- Ability to multitask various projects while remaining focused and dedicated to high-quality output.
- Strong technical skills, including cloud-based systems. Must have a high level of skills in MS Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Background in trade associations, membership organizations, and/or large-scale event marketing.
- Knowledge of travel industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Remote work environment.
- Prolonged periods sitting/remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to remain stationary and move for long periods of time, during events.
- Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate various meetings and events.

TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Up to 10%; travel to Annual Convention and other GBTA events/meetings as needed.
