Director Inpatient Rehab Position Summary
Responsible for the oversight and management of a new 24-bed freestanding Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, consisting of PT, OT, and Speech therapy. Assesses, plans, and implements processes relating to patient evaluation and treatment, as required. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and manages the operating and capital budgets; directs daily operations and performance of staff; has ability to hire, fire and discipline.
- Develop, revise, implement, and communicate policies, processes, and procedures, holding staff accountable for their respective roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to educate staff and the community about awareness, prevention, and treatment options. Develop and support clinical affiliations and relationships with educational institutions.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of state, federal, and professional regulatory requirements for program reimbursement, business standards, legal issues, and documentation requirements, and apply them to program operations and departments. Educate and communicate updates and changes in standards to the staff and advise the CNO or COO on the needs required for effective program operation and implementation.
- Masters use of clinical systems to ensure efficient and excellent supportive documentation, appropriate and optimal coding levels, charge capture, and follow-through on all patient care orders
THE DIRECTOR INPATIENT REHAB CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Education:
- Current State license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
- BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited therapy program.
- Additional training with a Master's or Doctorate degree in professional or management area is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of rehabilitation experience, including two years in a management role, is required.
Experience:
Required: 5 years in healthcare management
Certifications:
Required: Maintain licensure, as required by State law. AHA BLS.
