Job Summary
The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations within the establishment. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage culinary teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, catering, and culinary arts, with a focus on enhancing the dining experience for guests.
Duties
- Lead and manage all food and beverage operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current trends while meeting dietary needs.
- Oversee the catering department, coordinating events and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and storage of food products to minimize waste.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards in all areas of food handling and production.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experiences through exceptional culinary offerings.
- Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve service quality and address any concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Food & Beverage Management preferred.
- Proven experience in food service and/or hospitality management or a related field, with a strong emphasis on leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and dietary department operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create memorable dining experiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with catering operations and event planning is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, guests, and vendors.
- A passion for food service excellence and a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of operations.
