Overview
The Oak Hills High School Women’s Soccer Team — one of only 64 Division I programs in Ohio and a proud five-time champion of the Greater Miami Conference — is searching for a passionate, creative, and motivated individual to serve as Director of Media Relations for the 2025 season.
More than just a program, Oak Hills Women's Soccer is a family, and we’re looking for someone who can capture and share the energy, heart, and hustle that define our players and coaches. This is your chance to shine a light on the moments that matter, from last-minute goals to behind-the-scenes smiles, while promoting team spirit and building a strong connection with our community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Film and edit post-game interviews with coaches and players
- Conduct mid-season feature interviews spotlighting individual players
- Provide live in-game updates across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook
- Design, update, and post game-day graphics and final score visuals before, during, and after matches
- Produce short-form video content (e.g. Reels, Highlights, Behind-the-Scenes)
- Attend all home and away games and select training sessions to gather content
- Lead and execute a Senior Night campaign to honor graduating players
- Collaborate regularly with the coaching staff to ensure messaging and priorities are aligned
Requirements
- Proven experience in photography, videography, and content editing (familiar with Reels, Canva, CapCut, iMovie, etc.)
- Access to multimedia equipment (camera, gimbal, microphone) is a plus
- Solid understanding of social media platforms and their best practices
- Reliable transportation to all events (home and away)
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends during the season
- A professional, positive, and respectful demeanor in all interactions with student-athletes, coaches, and families
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with or eagerness to learn about high school athletics culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in journalism, digital marketing, communications, or sports media
- Experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or sports team
- Ability to write engaging captions, recaps, and spotlight quotes to complement visual content
