About the Role:
As the Director of Medical-Surgical Services, you will be a pivotal leader, responsible for the overall operations, strategic direction, and clinical performance of our medical-surgical unit. You will hold 24/7 accountability for ensuring a safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective environment for our patients and staff.

- Lead with Impact: Provide visionary leadership and administrative oversight for the Medical-Surgical unit, aligning goals with the organization's mission and strategic plan.
- Elevate Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and therapeutically effective patient-centered care, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Empower Your Team: Recruit, hire, develop, and mentor a team of skilled nurses and support staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, accountability, and collaboration.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Manage the unit's budget, resources, and staffing levels, optimizing efficiency and patient flow.
- Champion Quality & Safety: Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with all regulations and patient safety protocols.
- Foster Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, other departments, and the senior leadership team to enhance patient care and achieve organizational objectives.
What You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree (MSN or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care setting, with significant experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required within 6 months of hire.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong administrative and operational management capabilities, including budgeting and resource allocation. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement methodologies.
