About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations and oversee high-quality patient care in healthcare facilities located in Albuquerque, Roswell , and Fort Bayard, New Mexico . This leadership position is responsible for managing nursing personnel, shaping clinical standards, and ensuring operational excellence in both care delivery and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and supervise clinical staff
Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, policy implementation, and workflow efficiency
Lead the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of nursing personnel
Establish and maintain standards of care and a structured, supportive organizational environment
Participate in the development, review, and evaluation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
Facilitate care transitions by coordinating the development of individualized transition plans when appropriate
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional culture across all nursing units
What We’re Looking For:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico (Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred)
Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably as a DON or in a senior clinical role
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, state and federal regulations, and care planning
Proven ability to lead and inspire large clinical teams
Exceptional organizational, communication, and strategic planning skills
Experience in long-term care, behavioral health, or public health strongly preferred
