Location: Sistersville, WV
Shift: Day 7am - 3:30pm, 40 hr a week
Contract: 8 weeks (extendable)
Payrate: $72-$75/Hr.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of nursing practices, and a commitment to upholding resident rights. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and the delivery of high-quality care in our nursing home environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of residents.
- Oversee shift management to ensure adequate staffing and effective patient care during all hours.
- Advocate for resident rights, ensuring that all staff adhere to ethical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided in hospice and home care settings.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and support for nursing staff on best practices in patient care, anatomy knowledge, and medical protocols.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary to improve health results.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional development, and open communication among staff.
Requirements
- Current nursing license with relevant experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of care plans, shift management, resident rights, hospice care, home care, Medicare regulations, anatomy knowledge, and medical records management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide nursing staff effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care while upholding high standards of practice within the facility.
