We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects throughout North and Central Florida, along with running business development for this market. Based out of our Lake City office, this leadership role requires a driven professional who can manage multiple commercial and public sector projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the full project lifecycle for commercial and public construction projects across North and Central Florida.
- Coordinate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution from pre-construction through close-out.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, scopes, and risk management plans tailored to local codes, climates, and site conditions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Lake City office and project stakeholders, maintaining strong client relationships.
- Manage procurement processes, including permitting and contract negotiation.
- Enforce JM Phelps Construction’s safety policies and quality standards on all job sites.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior project managers, superintendents, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate reporting, including cost tracking, schedule updates, and project forecasts for leadership review.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of construction project management experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven success managing commercial, municipal, or institutional construction projects in Florida.
- Deep understanding of Florida building codes, permitting processes, and local subcontractor markets.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, Primavera P6).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to job sites across North and Central Florida as needed.

- Familiarity with Design-Build and CM-at-Risk (CMAR) project delivery.
- Experience working on municipal, education, or healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of LEED or green building practices applicable in Florida’s climate.
- Florida General Contractor License (CGC) preferred but not required.
