Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste properly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooks.
- Support the culinary team by bussing tables and helping with banquet setups when required.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
