Egg & Berry Cafe is seeking dedicated and efficient Dishwashers to join our team in a fast-paced & positive environment. The ideal candidate will play an important role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our kitchen staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all kitchen tools are organized.
- Assist in food preparation as needed by washing and preparing ingredients.
- Properly handle food items according to safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Perform routine maintenance on dishwashing equipment and report any malfunctions to management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a hospitality setting.
Starting Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
