Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen environment. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, allowing our cooks and chefs to focus on food preparation and service. Hours needed are :
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 4pm-9:30pm
Fridays and Saturdays 3:30pm-9:30pm
Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
- Manually wash items as needed, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by regularly cleaning floors, surfaces, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including basic cooking duties.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes in dining areas.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Support catering events by ensuring all necessary kitchenware is clean and ready for use.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized workflow during busy service times.
Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards within the culinary space.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices is an advantage.
- Willingness to assist with various tasks beyond dishwashing, including food preparation and catering support.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
