Dishwasher position involves the following duties:
Washing dishes, emptying BOH trash when needed, keeping area clean and sanitized, getting items for the cook from the walk-in when asked. Possibly helping make sauces and grating cheese on occasion.
Helping out when needed- (prep cooks can choose to work "all around" shifts that entails kitchen and server assistance or learn the topping line to assemble burgers and cold sides). This includes minimal assistance with dishes at times, too.
Keeping station(s) clean (sweeping, sanitizing, etc).
*Experience is preferred but not required. Must be willing to learn all duties above. The shop is a small, "Mom and Pop" restaurant that has very busy weekends and summer months. Tasks must be done in a timely manner, communication between other staff members is vital as well as taking direction when warranted. It is a team effort to make sure everything goes smoothly, so we expect professionalism and efficiency.
