Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our cooking staff and ensuring a smooth operation during meal preparation and service.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by regularly cleaning floors, countertops, and other surfaces.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Help with bussing tables during busy service periods to ensure timely clearing of dishes.
- Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all serving items are clean and ready for use.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks as needed, including cooking or food preparation.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
