Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to a safe and efficient food service environment. A background in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong cleaning skills with a focus on sanitation standards in food service settings.
- Excellent teamwork abilities and willingness to assist colleagues as needed.
