Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting our chefs and food service staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about food service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by regularly cleaning countertops, floors, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Support the kitchen team by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during peak service times.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain health and safety standards.
- Help with inventory management by organizing clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules for deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking, catering, or banquet services is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the job duties.
