Job description
We are looking for an ambitious Dishwasher to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen by using sanitation skills to clean and maintain the quality of dish ware. Alongside cleaning dishes using the dish machine, you’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as organizing the deliveries, fridge unit, and dish ware. A great dishwasher will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.
Core responsibilities include the following but are not limited too:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Assist in food preparation by organizing and cleaning ingredients as needed.
- Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting
- Strong food handling and safety knowledge
- Ability to assist with food preparation and cooking
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with banquet and catering services
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27 – 34 per week
