Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are washed, sanitized, and ready for use. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and food preparation areas.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support the culinary team.
- Help organize and store clean dishes and kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a culinary or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
