Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our food service establishment, contributing to the overall dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing and cutting vegetables.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to ensure a tidy dining area.
- Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all service items are clean and ready for use.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment with strong communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations are essential.
- Experience in bussing or catering services can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
