We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our food service, catering, and hospitality activities.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support cooks and kitchen staff.
- Organize and store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.
- Monitor dishwashing supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Support catering events by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Familiarity with catering or banquet services is an advantage but not mandatory.
