Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and all kitchen equipment using machine and manual cleaning methods. This role also assists in the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand as needed.
- Ensure all cleaned items are sanitized and stored properly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors, trash bins, and food preparation areas.
- Remove garbage and recycling; clean and sanitize bins regularly.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
- Support other kitchen staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with good communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Work is performed in a commercial kitchen with exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.80 - $12.57 per hour
