Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
- Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation tasks as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting with serving food when required.
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory management to ensure adequate levels of ingredients.
Skills
- Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Familiarity with banquet or catering operations is a plus.
