Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager.
- Must be punctual and be able to work as team player.
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with bussing tables and serving food is a plus.
- Strong cleaning skills with an emphasis on maintaining a hygienic workspace.
- Culinary experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
