Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position will require the safe use of a power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance.
Position Summary: Responsible for safe, efficient, and accurate transition of product from distribution dock to agencies picking-up product for transport.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stages agency orders for pick-up in the distribution area.
- Returns remaining items back to stock at the end of the business day.
- Validates invoices for orders and corrects errors when discovered and ensures both agencies and staff sign.
- Ensures products displayed in distribution area are clean and safe.
- Ensures distribution cooler is stocked.
- Provides excellent customer service to agencies.
- Ensures doors are secured when distribution is not open to the public.
- Maintains a clean and safe workspace for both interior and exterior distribution areas.
- Inspects power equipment prior to use.
- Follows all safety standards and procedures.
- Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
- Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
