Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming experiences to our clients. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products.
- Handle animals safely and humanely, using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area by regularly cleaning tools, equipment, and workspaces.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the grooming salon.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong skills in dog handling and animal restraint are essential for ensuring safety during grooming sessions.
- Experience in customer service is highly valued, as building relationships with pet owners is key to success in this role.
- Familiarity with animal care practices, including knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming needs, is beneficial.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week

- 50% commission

- 8 hour shift
