Companions Dog Resort is recruiting for a Canine Care Specialist. Experience is highly valued but not necessary, as we have a fantastic mentor program. The position revolves around caring after dogs in a group play environment, providing an upbeat customer experience, assisting with basic office duties, safety protocols, maintaining a clean environment.

Candidates will have:

* A passionate love for dogs is a must. The purpose of us putting in all of the extra efforts each day is to provide the very best care for each and every dog and client.
* Is it fun to know that you had a productive day? Do you enjoy the confidence that is created each day when you know that you proactively took care of things well?
* Experience is a plus. We also have an amazing mentoring program for people just entering into the industry.
* Must be able to lift 70lbs, also be able to hold a leash with a 70lbs dog pulling.
* This career involves caring after groups of dogs in an active and fast paced environment. Multi tasking and Acute Situational Awareness are a must! Must enjoy moving on your feet.
The primary responsibilities are:
- Developing knowledge of the dogs and their unique temperaments. Creating play schedules and groups that are best suited together.
- Feeding & Caring after all the dogs needs.
- Manage playgroups of dogs of various sizes in an open play yard environment.
- Perform health and happiness checks on dogs throughout the day.
- Greeting clients in a fun, friendly and professional manner.
- Maintaining the (easy to use) customer data base and reservation system.
- Contribute to keeping the facility clean for everyones happiness.
