Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring they look and feel their best. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle pets safely and effectively. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the overall well-being of our furry clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats.
- Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both pets and staff during grooming sessions.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and aftercare.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in kennel duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and caring for pets in our facility.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is preferred.
- Strong skills in animal restraint and dog handling are essential for ensuring safety during grooming sessions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or moving equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and well-being.
- Experience in animal care or pet sitting is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
