As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for implementing training programs that enhance the behavior and obedience of dogs. Your role requires strong animal handling and communication skills to effectively work with both dogs and their owners. You will utilize your expertise in dog training and customer service to create a positive learning environment. Additionally, your ability to perform heavy lifting and manage animal restraint will ensure the safety and well-being of the pets in your care. ```Duties:```
- Provide dog training services to clients, including basic obedience training, behavior modification, and specialized training programs
- Assess and evaluate dogs' behavior and temperament to develop personalized training plans
- Conduct training sessions with dogs and their owners
- Teach commands, leash walking, socialization, and other necessary skills to dogs
- Monitor and track progress of dogs during training sessions
- Provide guidance and support to dog owners on effective training techniques and strategies
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and client interactions
```Skills:```
- Strong knowledge and experience in dog training techniques and methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their dogs
- Ability to assess dog behavior and tailor training plans accordingly
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals
- Knowledge of pet care, veterinary assistant, or veterinary technician skills is a plus
- Experience in equine or other animal handling is beneficial
- Customer service skills to provide a positive experience for clients
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting or physically demanding tasks related to dog care or kennel management
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
