Job Overview
We are looking for a current drain cleaner or person with general plumbing knowledge.
There will be a trial period of 5-10 days before you become a trainee.
As a new person on our team, we will train you to clean drains the DRAIN DOCTOR WAY. You will ride on the truck with a seasoned technicians for 6-8 weeks. During this training period you will learn to be proficient in every type of drain we encounter.
Once on your own truck, you will work with around 5 to 7 customers a day helping solve their drainage issues. Our focus is on quickly identifying the issues and providing the customer the best option to solve their issue on the first visit. Over the last 50 years we have built a base of loyal customers who call us again and again when they need our help.
We are hiring to take on the growth occurring as we improve our systems and technology. We have new wrapped Ford Transits, new hydro equipment, serviced cable machines. Drain Doctor technicians are given the tools to earn an income that can support a family.
Training pay - $23.00 per hour, 40 hours a week, no overtime.
Commission pay - 22% of each job, you should earn $70+
Qualifications:
- Overall knowledge of how residential plumbing works
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively explain technical processes to non-technical customers.
- A commitment to ethical service, focusing on providing the right solutions without pressure to upsell.
- Driver License required
Duties:
- Work with between 5 and 7 customers daily in a 5 day work week.
- No On-call or overnight work. Closed Sundays and our team rotates covering Saturday business
- After an initial training/review period, you will work independently with company provided tools and equipment to diagnosing and solving customer drain issues.
- Operate both cable and hydro machines and camera inspection tools
- Utilize online tools, such as Housecall Pro and Clover Go, for job tracking and customer payments.
- Actively listen to customer concerns and clearly communicate the steps you will take to resolve their issues.
- Participate in team efforts to support all members in achieving collective goals.
