Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Helper to assist our delivery team in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. As a Delivery Helper, you will play a crucial role in the logistics process, providing support during loading and unloading, maintaining excellent customer service, and ensuring that all deliveries are handled with care. This position requires physical stamina, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver in loading and unloading delivery items from the vehicle.
- Ensure that all packages are secured and organized during transport.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Help navigate routes and ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of items as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts when necessary (training may be provided).
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Skills
- Experience driving box trucks or vans is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly.
- Previous experience in warehouse settings is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and delivery processes is helpful but not required.
