Position Summary:
The Pant Blower Operator is responsible for the proper finishing of pants using the Unipress ATT (Automatic Tensioning Topper) machine. This role focuses on achieving consistent, wrinkle-free results by applying steam, air, and tension to pants to restore their original shape and appearance. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, equipment care, and the ability to meet productivity and quality targets in a commercial laundry or garment care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Unipress ATT Tensioning Pants Topper to finish pants to company quality standards.
- Load pants onto the tensioning topper and adjust tension, steam, and drying settings based on fabric type and garment condition.
- Monitor equipment operation to ensure garments are finished without damage or distortion.
- Inspect garments post-finishing for wrinkles, creases, stains, or wear, and take corrective action when needed.
- Communicate with other team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet production goals.
- Perform basic daily maintenance and cleaning of the Unipress ATT machine.
- Identify and report any mechanical or operational issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Support other finishing or pressing operations as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience with commercial pressing or Unipress equipment strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with different fabric types and appropriate tension/heat settings.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift garments or small loads (up to 25 lbs.).
- Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and quality control.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, hot, and humid laundry or industrial environment.
- Frequent standing, bending, and repetitive motions.
- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required.
- Exposure to steam and heat.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
