Job Summary Looking for a female Monday through Friday 11:30a to 3.30p in a N. Canton home. Client enjoys playing games and coloring. No behavior, pleasant to be around.
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. This position involves assisting clients in daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The DSP will work closely with clients to enhance their quality of life through personalized care plans and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation to appointments or community activities.
- Support clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in health status.
- Implement individualized care plans while respecting resident rights and preferences.
- Perform basic health monitoring, including taking vital signs when necessary.
- Engage clients in recreational activities to promote social interaction and well-being.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health is preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
