Key Duties
- Support clients in daily living tasks: hygiene, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, etc.
- Empower individuals with mental health diagnoses to manage symptoms and pursue their recovery goals
- Promote community involvement, personal growth, and independence
- Assist elders with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, mobility, meal prep, and grooming
- Encourage skill-building and help clients overcome everyday barriers
- Foster self-advocacy and dignity through consistent, respectful support
- Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in advocacy, direct support, or related care roles
- Comfortable working independently and problem-solving in the moment
- Strong communication and emotional intelligence
- Bonus: Experience with assistive technology or elder care
