- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, including memory care strategies for those requiring additional support.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement and personal development.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, behaviors, and any incidents that may occur during shifts.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Skills
- Experience in direct support or caregiving roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work compassionately with people who have disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Proficiency in meal preparation and maintaining dietary requirements for clients.
- Capability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a healthy living environment.
- Physical ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility as needed.
